Access Points

An access point is anywhere along the river where a paddler can launch or take out a kayak, canoe, or SUP. They vary widely: some are formal launches at conservation areas with maintained ramps, parking, and washrooms, while others are free roadside pull-offs or bridge crossings where you slide down the bank with your boat. Bank conditions, parking rules, and seasonal access can differ a lot from spot to spot. The table below summarizes the current flow status, branch, parking type, nearby rentals, and whether photos or video have been added.

Note: Best effort is being made to compile accurate information from public sources and community knowledge, but details may be out of date or inaccurate. Road access, ownership, parking rules, and bank conditions change. Check each location yourself before you launch, confirm any posted signage, and don't trespass.

Inspired by and built on the Thames River Paddling Routes Project

The route data, access points, and local knowledge that power this site were originally compiled by the Thames River Paddling Routes Project. Their years of on-the-water research and community knowledge building made this possible. Thank you.
